Save style size color item

InventoryObject.SaveInventoryRecord doesn't seem to work for styled items.
From Jiwa, it pops up a product matrix confirmation screen. However, if I call the .SaveInventoryRecord method from code, record is not saved.
How can I save the inventory record if it is a styled item?
