User Defined Field

I have a user defined field in Jiwa 6.5.13 that is a date field against SO_History, any attempt to set this field to a day 7 days from today, has Jiwa adding the current time to the value, even if I hand in the time as midnight myself, the value makes it to the datbase ok with the current time attached but Jiwa doesn't read the value back out to the user interface due to this time value being in the contents field, I have tried code in the save before and save completed with no luck.
How can I get around this?
