Sales Order Stock Allocation

Postby jiwameister » Fri Mar 19, 2010 2:41 pm

When a sales order is being keyed, it would be great to have a workflow mode where it assumed that the order was being picked, and that the bin location that the item (or serial number if batch tracked) was not predetermined.

In other words, the picking document feature would allow the allocation of the stock records at time of picking, not at the time of sales order entry.

That is already in our version 7 picking business logic - we provide guidance to the picker, but let them tell us what bins they picked from, and what (if applicable) serial numbers were picked.
