JIWA EDI Integration

We are using JIWA 6.15.3 and looking at purchasing the EDI module.
Is there anyone who is doing this? or has done this?
Specifically we want to automate the receiving of purchase orders and the sending of invoices (we sell to Bunnings Aust.)
Can the JIWA EDI module talk DIRECTLY to Bunnings EDI system (without using a thirdy party EDI provider)
Any comment would be appreciated. Our JIWA consultant has never done one of these, so really finding it hard to get some concret facts.
