I have a client who are interested in purchasing JIWA. One requirement is that the job number can be edited to match a number that is provided by the government agency that they deal with. Can you foresee any issues with us using a plugin to edit the job number.

Shouldn't be a problem - we link to the job via a stageID at transaction level (eg: creditor purchase), or Job ID at the job level (eg: sales order header).
