Change Font Style in Email Text Message

Hi,
Is there a simple way of being able to change Text in the email message in the middle of the text say from Style Normal to Bold Italic and back. I want to highlight the company name but can only see having to create a class with a fair bit of code to achieve this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
