Debtor Transaction screen lost debit & credit panes

Postby DannyC » Thu Jan 31, 2019 11:29 am

Got a wierd one.
When I load Debtors Maintenance, Transactions tab I don't get the debit and credit panes.

I have tried minimising the ribbon & I get slight visibility of the debit (upper) pane.

I have also deleted the SY_UserProfile records for this user (admin) where section = 'JiwaFinancials.Jiwa.JiwaDebtorsUI.frmDebtor'.

Any other ideas?

Try also deleting entries from SY_FormSettings, SY_TabSettings and SY_TabControlSettings

Deleting records from those tables don't help either.

Try disabling all plugins.

Try re-installing Jiwa.

Other than that I'd have to get a copy of the database and step through using source code to see what is going on.

Disabling plugins hasn't helped either.
I might try reinstalling Jiwa over the weekend if I get the chance.

The database is 60Gb + so getting it over to you guys may be problematic.
I have a sneaking suspicion that someone has opened Debtors Maintenance on a cranking hot monitor with super resolution. Does Jiwa 'read' the display resolution and adjust accordingly? I might see if I can find a whiz bang screen and see if it opens OK.

Clearing out those tables should have dealt with any monitor-specific settings. Maybe try deleting all rows for user 'Admin' - the section may not be 'JiwaFinancials.Jiwa.JiwaDebtorsUI.frmDebtor' for whatever is causing the issue.

Fully deleted SY_UserProfile and SY_FormSettings for admin user.
No luck.

There are no records in SY_TabSettings and SY_TabControlSettings.

Rather than reinstalling Jiwa, is there a DLL I could replace? Assuming it might be JiwaDebtorsUI.dll. Any others?
BTW, this is version 7.2.

I wonder if this problem is Windows user profile related?

I have a colleague who also accesses the same database quite regularly but their screen resolution is 3840 x 2160 (if I recall correctly) whereas I am running 1920 x 1080.
They don't have an issue & can see the debit & credit pane fine.
I am wondering if their setting has somehow been saved somewhere and is intefering in what I can see?

Easy to find out - login as a different windows user and see if the problem happens.

Bugger. Hasn't helped. Stuart seems to think it might be my video driver but it doesn't happen when I RDP into other client sites, just this one. And it used to be OK - only started happening in the past few days.
