Am looking into the way of reducing backorder quantity of sales order line items, thought reducing the quantity should do the job, but it won’t, can you please advise

Hi Riyaz,

Which property are you reducing? Reducing the QuantityOrdered should work - but only on snapshot (history) 1 of the sales order - the property setter for QuantityOrdered will just return without changing anything otherwise.

If you are on snapshot 2 or later, then you cancel backorders by either increasing the QuantityDemand property or decreasing the QuantityBackOrdered property.

There are some other properties which also affect if changing these properties does anything - but I won't complicate things with those unless the above doesn't work for you.
