Unread To Dos

Is there a way to alert a user to the fact that they have unread to dos after they login ?

A plugin could do that in a number of different ways, but we don't have anything built-in to do that.

If I remember why I posted this I think it's because if you go through todo maintenance and open a given todo it doesn't mark it as read only clicking on it on the list does that.
