How to limit Webhook message frequency

Postby sameermoin » Thu May 18, 2023 5:28 pm

Hi,

I am facing HTTP error 429 "Too many requests" on another application API gateway on some webhook messages when using the Jiwa inventory import utility. It is happening because messages are sent too frequently. Is there a way to control it ?

No, not using just the Jiwa REST API - we do have this as a planned future feature - DEV-8666

You could create or stand up a webhook receiver to take the webhooks out of Jiwa, and have that load level and forward on the hooks to the ultimate recipient. Services such as Zapier or Tray.IO might be worth exploring for that.

Perhaps whatever you are doing is better to not use webhooks at all.
