I knew it was only a matter of time before a customer asked.

I had a quick look in Jira, but didn't see anything.

Is there a plan to add formal support for e-invoicing, as advocated by the ATO (au) and IRD (nz), built on the Peppol framework?

Yes, we've got a start on this and have started out using a Peppol Service Provider by the name of Link4. Sending of invoices we've managed to do, but haven't got as far as ingesting invoices - the stumbling point there is we haven't worked out how to be both roles in our providers sandbox.

We've not given this much priority yet as whilst we knew it was going to be asked for, nobody had yet.

At the moment this a work in progress as an internal issue for us of JIWA-9667 - not yet a DEV issue - at the moment it's all done in a plugin - and it will probably stay that way so it could be readily copied and adapted for use with alternate Peppol service providers other than Link4.

What would give the project a kick up the bum is if someone threatened to be willing to pay for the functionality.

We have a plugin for sending invoices to Peppol using a 3rd party platform called Link4.

We plan to add the functionality to receive invoices when we come across someone who needs that.

David Simmonds and Link4 conducted a webinar on Peppol and Jiwa for our channel about 2 months ago.

I'm gonna throw my hat in the ring and say that I've had a client enquire about PEPPOL integration.

And when they say they want a Peppol integration - what is it they want?

As I said, we've done sending invoices (sales orders in Jiwa) to Peppol - you can have that now.

If they want receiving invoices from Peppol - which would probably be Purchase Invoices or maybe Creditor Purchases, then that part we have not done yet but plan to once we get information on how people would want that to work (ie: what are we creating in Jiwa; Purchase Invoice or Creditor Purchase or other?).

How? I have tried hunting down JIWA-9667 but can't locate anything. Are you able to attach the plugin here?
