There is no ip configuration Jiwa saves to dos to the database and on a timer Jiwa checks the database for relevant to dos related to the logged in user and then acts approriately.

That simply means the timer interval has not been set to a non-zero value.

Open the System Configuration form (under the System Settings menu) and on the System tab, set the ToDoPollInterval to be something other than zero.
