Adding custom labels to sales screen

I've got a fairly simple plugin that just adds a couple of basic labels to the quote form. Shows GP details for the whole quote just down near the grdTotals.

I want to do basically the same thing on the sales order form but for an unknown reason, the similar code isn't displaying the labels.

Can you decipher my plugin attached and see if you can work out why I'm not getting the labels on the sales form? I've tried different positions but I don't think its that.

My first step to debug this was to add a breakpoint so I could inspect the property values of the controls when added to the sales order and quote form.

I found my breakpoint was not being hit for sales order form, but was for the quote form.

And there's usually only one reason for that!
