Purchase Order - change line item default type

Hi guys,

(Going for the hat-trick here! ...)

I have a requirement to change line item default type for new line items added to a purchase order ...

Currently clicking on a blank line effectively selects "insert inventory item" ... I need to change this to "insert non-inventory item" (and users will then add an "inventory item" using right-click instead).

I have not been able to solve this trawling through existing posts.
