Purchase Orders - Pricing

Postby Ron » Tue Mar 03, 2009 12:50 pm

With any updates to Purchasing the functionality of being able to setup some kind of a pricing matrix is necessary.
As a minimum per part / supplier it needs to make allowance for:
- volume discount pricing
- Price changes based on a date

Purchasing in V7 uses the equivalent of "price schemes" in version 6. We call this "pricing policies"

It works exactly like the "price schemes" in V6, in that you define a "purchase price policy" and attach the policy to the supplier and can override it on the order.

"Price Policies" include all manner of pricing mechanics - quantity breaks, supplier specific prices, etc.
