When using Demo Data, I got exactly the same as you did:

Your quote and sales order are the same image - both are the sales order.
Assuming the sales order has different prices to the quote which I could not see, how did you create the quote from the sales order? Was it via an API route, or the ribbon tool "Make Sales Order"? Or some other way?

I have found the error, but am having difficulties deleting a quote so that I can test it.
