Dot Matrix Printing in JIWA7

Postby Ernst » Wed Nov 14, 2018 6:07 pm

Has anybody got Dot Matrix printing working in JIWA7. We have JIWA7.02, Printing in Portrait Mode, with Width wider than Height.

Crystal sees width wider than height, and auto rotates print to landscape.

Trying to print in Landscape mode does'nt help either. Trying Crystal Page setup options, on/off etc etc does not help. After 2 days have exhausted options to try.

Going to OKI printer.

These are similar issues reported on net with crystal..

This pretty much defines the problem

If anybody has got this going would appreciate to hear from them.. Thx.

Without actually having the printer physically on my desk and testing, it's hard to say what you need to do to get this to work, or if it is at all possible.

We did provide a service release to 7.0.175 specifically to deal with a problematic receipt printer a customer was having - that allowed a plugin to intercept some printer and report properties before printing. In that case the bin containing paper size and cut options was being ignored by Crystal, so the plugin code shown in DEV-6609 shows how we did that - this may be a solution to your problem.

You'll need to create a paper bin/tray/source in the printer configuration in Windows with the right properties, and then use the plugin code we show to explicitly set the BinName.
