BoM Quantity - gets set to Zeros

Hi There

Have a weird issue, in which our plugin does some calculations on the quantity changes of the input section of the BoM screen.

Everything works correctly, till we save it, even on Save Start the quantity values are correct, but when its saved it goes back to Zeros, all the quantities. The plugin only has the code for line item changes, nothing for Save. Pls see the attached screenshots.

Can you pls advise what could be the reason for this.
