Calculating label print count.

Postby pricerc » Wed Oct 13, 2021 12:21 pm

If I'm GRN'ing a PALLET of CARTONs of EACHes received in response to a PO.

What's the best way to know how many CARTON labels I need to print?

a) If I've ordered one PALLET, and/or

b) if I've ordered 10 CARTONs.

Post 7.2.1 we've added UOM fields to the GRN - so it's going to be easier in the future - but right now if you make the assumption that your GRN is receiving the same UOM as the PO, then you need to convert the quantity on the GRN (which in 7.2.1 and earlier is stock keeping units) to the UOM quantity by looking at the PO Line linked to the GRN line and then link the PO Line an linking that to the UnitOfMeasure to get the the number of stock keeping units per UOM.
